Footballers "boycott" social media for 24 hours
.... to take a stand against racism.

Wow. THAT'S GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD!

Has anything REALLY worthy ever been said/posted by a footballer anyway? Last time I looked, it was just slaps on the back for fellow millionaires. ⚽🏆

Or: look at my new Yeezy shizzle, you peasants.

What a bunch of ineffective wankers.

(I appreciate the irony of posting this on a "social media" site itself, but God help us. The human race is doomed if they think that's going to make any difference at all.)

I think footballers staying off social media is a great thing. Can they extend the boycott forever?!

You mean the people they employ to write their tweets are taking a day off.

Well thats footballers having a boycott, now all we need is for Trump, the Kardassian clan, the TOWIE bird, Lineker, and life would be a hell of a lot better.

Imagine what’s going on in people like Rio Ferdinands head ,must be confusing ,they wanna stay in the limelight but they also think our lives will be somehow lesser by them staying out of it , ... how will we get by ?or better still they all do just fuck off altogether !

I’m gutted!

I rely on Danny Rose for my views on everything and if I don’t have my daily fix of Raheem Sterling driving in a gold plated Range Rover chucking tenners out of the window for the poor then my life is not worth living.

They should boycott it for 24 years, let alone 24 hours.

I would think most footballers think a boycott is something that costs at least 2.5 K that the wag orders when she's up the duff and been told the sex of the baby.

How brave of these young men. I just hope they'll be able to manage in their day-to-day lives with such a sacrifice.

Re: Footballers "boycott" social media for 24 hours
Everyone has a mobile phone with a video camera in it - mobile phones barely existed in the 80s, let alone with a video camera.

Every couple of weeks someone posts up something racist on the internet - which barely existed in the 80s.

If we'd had them then, something racist would have been posted literally every second of the day.

Now every white ex-pro pundit and commentator in the media bangs on incessantly about 'increased racism' as if to pretend they gave a shit or made a stand back then, when their black team-mates were having bananas chucked at them every week. And of course black managerial failures employ it as an excuse for their own uselessness.

There's a fuck of a lot of virtue-signalling and chippiness going on.
